Does IBM ThinkPad T41 support 1680x1050 external monitor? - 1680x1050 ati mobility radeon 9000 driver
My IBM ThinkPad T41 has ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 graphics card (32 MB). The LCD panel is 1400x1050. I want to buy a widescreen 1680x1050 external LCD monitor, but I do not know if my laptop is compatible with this resolution. I could not find useful information on the ATI website.

It seems that is the highest resolution displays 1024x768. It can resolutions up to 2048x1536 panning everything. Watch all the way down the page to see the video specifications. Hope this helps.
